GB Dentistry Girish Bharwani DDS

I am very sensitive. Will I be in pain after my procedure?

At GB Dental, Dr. Bharwani and his team go above and beyond other practices to make sure patients will not experience post-procedure pain. In addition to carefully cleaning the tooth, desensitizing medications are provided to all patients for any treatment from a filling to a crown to make sure they feel nothing afterwards.

Patients might also try an over-the-counter pain reliever for any mild discomfort they might have after undergoing a dental procedure.

What are my other options?

For patients who might be nervous about the procedure itself, we offer the option of nitrous oxide. This safe gas is breathed in through a mask, similar to how oxygen is administered. Its effects are felt instantly, giving patients a feeling of euphoria, although they will still be awake during the procedure and able to communicate with the doctor. Its effects leave the body quickly as well, so patients can drive themselves back home or to the office safely.

We also work with patients on relaxation techniques that can be helpful for both during the procedure and afterwards.
